Rolls-Royce Phantom 5EE4 Precharging Pump Fault
Description :
5EE4 Precharging Pump Rolls-Royce Phantom : The single precharger pump ensures that adequate hydraulic pressure is available quickly enough under all operating conditions, specifically with regard to the increased viscosity of brake fluid at low temperatures.
The single precharger pump has a separate connection to the brake fluid reservoir, from which it draws in fluid, and a separate connection to the tandem master cylinder, to which it delivers fluid.
The reason of 5EE4 Precharging Pump malfunction
Activation test the Precharge Pump
The Precharging Pump is submerged in water for a long time, so water gets inside and damages the pump, it must be replaced with a new one. The main cause is due to garbage and fallen leaves blocking the water vent. So remember to check and clean the vent regularly.
Replace the new Precharging Pump
Bleeding DSC hydraulics
Following replacement or repair work, the pre-charge pump must be cleared of air. To do so, activate the pre-charge pump and then rinse and bleed the front axle circuit. This operation is described in the ”DSC hydraulics ventilation” service function.
